Beginning & Intermediate Knitting

Welcome to the wonderful world of knitting. As a new knitter we will help you build a solid knitting foundation. You will learn to read & understand basic knitting terminology & the yarn skein band, how to cast on & bind off, the knit and purl stitches & basic pattern reading.

For an intermediate knitter that already knows the basics we will help you increase your knitting knowledge. You will learn about gauge, increase and decrease techniques, ribbing and seed stitch. Bring your questions!

Lace Series - Alivia Shawl


Ready for a little bit (or a lot) of lace? We're celebrating Mardi Gras & gearing up for Fiesta with the Alivia shawl. You'll learn about shawl construction, increases & decreases as you work your way from the lace border's bottom point to the top edge. Along the way you'll decide between the center section stitch options. This shawl looks just as beautiful in a lightly variegated or solid yarn.

Lace 101 - Scarves

Lace just has a way of amazing everyone. You will learn to read & understand basic lace charts. We will teach you about increasing with yarn overs & decreasing with centered & slanted stitches. Together we'll discover blocking; the final step that reveals the beauty that lace has to offer.

Long Distance High Five - Fingerless Mitts,

Whether you're out enjoying the cooler weather or stuck in a too cold office, it is time to show your hands some love! Slide them into a pair of fingerless mitts that are sure to STOP traffic or at the very least have friends asking for their own snazzy pair. We'll recommend patterns that will highlight solid, semi-solid or lightly variegated yarns.

Baby, Oh Baby! Series - Crocodile Stitch Booties

Have you seen the cute baby booties in multi-colored hues? They make an easy yet fabulous baby gift. If you are not quite sure what to make of the crocodile stitch, we have you covered. We will focus on completing the crocodile stitch in rows.

Classic Cuff Down Socks

Ready for socks & double pointed needles? Don't worry; together we will break down the anatomy of a sock. You'll choose between a lace or cable sock pattern. Then we'll start our journey with the cuff & move on to the leg. Then, it is time to turn the heel & transition to the foot. Finally, we'll wrap up with the toe.

Toe Up Socks

First, you decide which route to take as you learn to knit in the round. Your choices include using double pointed needles, 2 circular needles or a long circular needle using Magic Loop. Now the fun begins, as we work our way up from the toes! We will cast on to form the toe & transition to the foot. Next, it is heel turning time & then on to the leg. We will complete our journey with the cuff.

Welcome to the wonderful world of crocheting. As a new crocheter, we will help you build a solid crocheting foundation. All the knitting is complete, but your project is still waiting to make its debut? Well, wait no more; spend a couple of hours learning techniques to finish & show off all your hard work! Techniques will include three different Bind off methods as well as how to Pick Up Stitches along two types of edges.
