| (photo) | Lisa claimed the Yarn Barn as her own in 2008 after rescuing the shop from an almost certain demise. After learning that the store was scheduled to close permanently, Lisa could not bear to leave the city without its favorite needlework shop. Having a needlearts store in San Antonio to call her own had been an ambition for several years and her long-range retirement plan. One of three sisters, she took up the needles at age eight when she and her three sisters learned how to knit. She is best known for her lacey shawls in shades of pink and pale greens. Her flair for decorating has turned our new location into a warm and inviting space for everyone. Look for Lisa on most Saturdays. |
